🔶 About RMG Sustainability Council (RSC)

The RMG Sustainability Council (RSC) is a national tri-partite organization representing the RMG industry, brands, and trade unions of Bangladesh. RSC works to ensure sustainable workplace safety, labor rights, and compliance within the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector.

To strengthen our Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Complaint Mechanism Department, we are seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join our team as Complaint Mechanism Specialists.


🧭 Position Summary

As an OSH-Complaint Mechanism Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing and investigating workplace complaints, ensuring compliance with national labor laws and international standards. This position contributes directly to RSC’s mission of promoting safe, fair, and sustainable working conditions across Bangladesh’s RMG industry.


📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of OSH-related complaints within the RMG sector.

  • Receive, document, and process complaints through RSC’s information management system.

  • Conduct on-site and off-site investigations following RSC protocols.

  • Maintain timely and accurate reports and case summaries.

  • Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the complaint process.

  • Support continuous improvement of complaint-handling procedures and tools.

  • Alert management to potential risks or systemic issues identified through case handling.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department (HoD).


🎓 Educational Qualification

  • Post-graduation or 4-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.


💼 Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in complaint management, workplace investigation, or labor relations (preferably within the RMG or compliance sector).

  • Strong understanding of Bangladesh Labour Act/Rules and ILO Conventions.

  • Prior experience collaborating with government bodies, NGOs, or international organizations is highly desirable.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with auditing experience under:
    BSCI, WRAP, C-TPAT, Higg, SEDEX, ISO45001, SLCP, Better Work, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems.

  • Age: At most 35 years.

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

  • Capacity to work effectively in a multicultural and gender-sensitive environment.
