Position Overview
The Assistant Project Officer (Monitoring & Reporting) will support the Orphans, Child Rights & Protection portfolio, focusing on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities for the SCALE Project. The role involves designing and implementing data collection systems, analyzing results, and generating quality reports to strengthen project performance and learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Evaluation (30%)

Develop and review M&E plans, frameworks, and logical models.

Design and deploy apps-based tools (KOBO, ODK, ONA, EPI-info) for data collection.

Conduct field visits, supervise enumerators, and ensure timely data collection.

Contribute to developing robust information management systems.
Research, Analysis & Reporting (40%)
-
Lead baseline surveys, need assessments, feasibility studies, and evaluations.

Analyze and visualize data using Excel, SPSS, STATA, Power BI, or similar tools.

Prepare high-quality reports, case studies, and data visualizations for donors and management.

Document lessons learned and success stories, and facilitate dissemination of findings.
Accountability, Learning & Coordination (20%)

Support accountability mechanisms (CFM) and project learning plans.

Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and development partners.

Facilitate workshops, reflection meetings, and dissemination events.
Safeguarding, Compliance & Capacity Development (10%)
-
Uphold IRB’s safeguarding and child protection standards.

Promote teamwork, integrity, and continuous learning within project teams.

Participate in seasonal and emergency programs (e.g., Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization).
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Anthropology, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in NGO/INGO or development sector roles.

Strong understanding of MEAL frameworks, data systems, and research methodologies.
Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in Excel, SPSS/STATA, Kobo Toolbox, Power BI, PIVOT.

Advanced skills in report writing, documentation, and data analysis.

Strong planning, analytical, and communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Valid motorcycle driving license preferred.
